New York Day 2

Our first full day in New York was a busy one!! Heres what we got up to..

Our first stop was food! We managed to pick up something in Times Square and obviously had to pop into Starbucks for the wifi! Berry Hibiscus is my favourite Starbucks drink, they used to do it in the UK but now its just in the US! Very yummy, even though they did think my name was 'Frin'. 

After breakfast a couple of students went to FIT to take part in a fragrance workshop. It was wonderful to meet Virginia Bonofiglio who talked and smelt our way through lots of information about the perfume and fragrance world. 

Walking down 5th Avenue, Lord and Taylor look extremely pretty with their christmas lights still up! 

The New York Public Library  

& Other Stories on 5th was such an instagramable store. Everything was so beautifully laid out and was a pleasure to shop in. 

A trip to New York would not be complete without Tiffany's.

On our walk back to the hotel we found a really cute restaurant called Barilla. They did amazing pasta and pizza, we really loved it there. 

New York Day 1

I have just come back from an amazing trip to the Big Apple. We saw so many sights, shopped a lot and ate so very delicious food. 

I am going to post some of the pictures I took from each of the days so you can see exactly what we got up to.

Of course one of our first stops had to be Times Square. Its so overwhelming being in the middle of all the action, but every time I go it just makes me so excited at being in such an amazing city.

I feel like this picture sums up how excited I was!

MANGO- New Strategy

Kendall Jenner was announced as the new face of Mango this week modelling the brands new line Tribal Spirit.  The brand are trying to create a 'faster fashion concept' for their stores where they launch a different line and campaign every month with a well known face behind it. 

This collection includes printed fabrics and suede in earthy tones like mustard, brown, camel and sand. These have been used to create accessories with a tribal and free spirited look. 

Kendall Jenner said 'I am delighted to have been chosen to present the Tribal Spirit part of the collection. I love wearing the designs, fabrics and shapes- they really speak of the allure of nature which I know this collection was inspired by.'

These are the three themes I have chosen to write about for 2A. At first I was just going to look into 'glamour' but I found all the image topics were too similar and linked too much to what I want to write about for 2B.

The Plan for New York

I will soon be jetting off to New York for just under a week with my University Course! I am very excited as having been once before I know how amazing the city is how many places and things I can visit and revisit.

Of course I have already made a shopping list of all the things I want to pick up and have been given an equally as long list from my younger sister. 

I definitely want to see all the 'tourist sights' while were there, such as the Rockefeller Centre, Central Park, The Statue of Liberty, Times Square and everything else the city has to offer. 

We will be attending some exhibitions while were there as well, like the new exhibition opening at FIT and The Met. 

As well as shopping, eating and trying new restaurants is definitely high on my list of things to do. We have already booked dinner at Beauty and Essex which I am extremely excited for, apparently its a great place to celeb spot. And brunch at Barney's on the Saturday we come home to finish the trip off nicely. 

Of course I will be taking photos while I am there so I will do a few blog posts telling you what we got up to.
